PSG are apparently planning a surprise move for Conor Gallagher, with Mauricio Pochettino a big fan of the Chelsea midfielder following his strong displays at Crystal Palace.
Gallagher, who has six goals and three assists in 18 games for the Eagles this season, has been Patrick Vieira's standout performance at Selhurst Park.
Gallagher's performances have reportedly drawn the attention of former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino and the French giants, who are exploring a January deal for the England international, according to The Sun. Because Gallagher is presently on loan, a permanent transfer this month appears difficult, but according to the source, the Blues might get up to £50 million for their academy product.
Gallagher has played more than the stipulated percentage of Palace matches since joining the club in the summer, and Chelsea, who are dealing with an injury crisis, are unwilling to return him from his loan term.
If a deal cannot be reached this month, PSG will return for Gallagher next summer, according to the same source.
Gallagher is on loan at Selhurst Park for the fourth time in his short career, having previously played for West Bromwich Albion, Swansea City, and Charlton Athletic. Although the 21-year-old has stated that he sees his future at Stamford Bridge, a move to the French capital could be alluring for the playmaker.
Meanwhile, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is rumoured to be aiming to bolster his midfield by allowing Ross Barkley, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and Hakim Ziyech to depart in order to bring in new players.
